Jim Barrineau brings over 42 years of extensive leadership experience in practical solutions for global enterprise management, with special emphasis in information assurance and Computer Network Defense. As Zantech's Director of Army Programs, he successfully leads enterprise-level IT organizations in strategic planning, multi-million-dollar budget execution, 24X7 operations, and program management while building teams to solve complex cyber security and enterprise management problems. His comprehensive approach to business development spans the full life-cycle from opportunity creation and identification through capture, proposal, and post-award transition, including organic growth opportunities and overall proposal support.

Before joining Zantech, Jim served in distinguished roles including Principal Consultant at rTurner Consulting and 27 years as a Colonel in the US Army Signal Corps, culminating as Chief of Staff for Joint Task Force - Global Network Operations at US Strategic Command/DISA, where he led over 380 IT and cyber security professionals defending the Department of Defense's global IT enterprise. Notable achievements include directing the Army Knowledge Online/Defense Knowledge Online project with over 2 million customers and a $120M annual budget, achieving 99.993% portal availability, and receiving the "Federal 100" award in 2007 along with Sun Microsystems' "Innovation in Government Technology Award."

Jim holds a Masters in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College, an MS in Telecommunications from Iona University, and has completed advanced military education including Command and Staff College. He maintains current DOD Top Secret clearance and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) with conversational proficiency in German. His expertise in network security, strategic planning, and computer network operations, combined with his proven ability to manage complex federal programs, makes him instrumental in driving Zantech's Army portfolio growth and operational excellence. A proud Army father who's thrilled to see the tradition continue in the next generation, Jim enjoys spending time with his family and his two corgis, who keep him grounded and remind him that sometimes the best leadership lessons come from unconditional loyalty and persistence.
